Welcome to Sixteen Thousand Trees.

Hi, I'm Sue.  And this is the right place if you'd like to hear updates on my project, Sixteen Thousand Trees. The project has officially launched, and I am now out and about regularly meeting a lot of trees! If you're looking at this on your mobile phone, you need to navigate to the little lines in the top right corner, to find the blog, which I'm updating around once a week. Please share  a comment if you're keeping up with the goings on, I'd love you to be part of this! And so would the trees. :-)

About the project...

Sixteen Thousand Trees is a personal project and I am based in Melbourne, Australia.

For far too long, the trees have been ignored. It's time to slow down, to walk with them, to feel their presence, and tell their story. I will do my best to listen carefully and to share what I learn so that the trees can have a voice. I'll be updating my blog regularly as I embark on a mission to meet sixteen thousand trees and hear what they have to say.

You can contact me via email on sixteenthousandtrees@gmail.com for more information. All images and text on this website are subject to copyright, please request permission for use.

*Disclaimer: I am not a scientist, biologist, or any type of nature expert. Just a regular person, a mother of three and a grandmother of one and with that, sometimes I may not name trees, plants, birds and animals 'correctly'. But this is for the everyday person. And I will use everyday language as best I can. For after all, our living things are known by many names, depending on what culture you are from. I'm here for anyone who wants to learn with me. I am learning, feel free to learn with me, and provide any helpful comments, but please don't judge me! :-)
